The Wiggins Institute of Entrepreneurship & Life Development (WIELD)™ is on a mission to prepare young adults for successful entrepreneurship and adulthood. Our goal is to impact future generations through intensive training on the HOWs of adulting: Character Building, Financial Independence, Home Management, Healthy Living & Wellness, and Personal & Professional Development. This mission and more is executed through our unique, highly-selective educational experience in Charlotte, NC.

 

As the WIELD Market Director, you will be the go-to person for the organization in your city. Your job will include many responsibilities, all with the goal of organizing and facilitating an engaging and impactful experience programming for WIELD Fellows. You will have real ownership over your program and infuse your creativity and talents into the six (6) week cohorts.

WIELD Director Qualities:

  • Knowledge and expertise in administration of educational experiences
  • Ability to direct and lead a team

  • Prior experience working with youth in a leadership position

  • Desire to help young adults grow in character, experiences and insights


WIELD Director Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for market program planning, organizing, operating, and staffing.
  • Serve as the face of WIELD in the market, representing the organization at private & public functions as needed
  • Serve on community committees and boards as directed by the Executive Director
  • Provide staff support and guidance to the Board of Directors and serve as staff liaison to relevant subcommittees of the Board
  • Contribute to the strategic plan by providing programmatic input to the Executive Director
  • Submit annual and interim written reports as required
  • Supervise WIELD staff, working closely to strengthen programming and streamline processes 
  • Demonstrate and provide leadership to the commitment of continuous quality improvement in all aspects of program development and implementation
  • Assess program and service needs on an ongoing basis and develop new programs as needs emerge
  • Work with the Director of Operations to ensure all regulations, state license and organizational membership requirements are met and maintained
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion

   Operations Management

  • Regularly interact with the LFL Executive Director and Director of Operations to ensure programming aligns with WIELD’s objectives.
  • Improve efficiency and effectiveness of all internal operations
  • Develop a deep knowledge of WIELD's mission, values, long term goals, growth, and challenges; continuously work towards achieving objectives
  • Recruit staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities
  • Ensure that files are properly maintained and kept confidential as required


Full-time, in-office role.

Salary range: $75,000 - $130,000 commensurate with experience and performance bonus
